The Wash & North Norfolk Marine Partnership
It is the role of The Wash & North Norfolk Marine Partnership (WNNMP) to manage and help deliver statutory duties to The Wash and North Norfolk Marine Protected Area (MPA) network. This comprises:
- Gibraltar Point Special Protection Area (SPA)
- North Norfolk Coast Special Protection Area (SPA)
- The Wash Special Protection Area (SPA)
- The Wash & North Norfolk Coast Special Area of Conservation (SAC)
WNNMP has 23 partners, which include the local borough, district and county councils, non-departmental governmental bodies, internal drainage boards, ports, and environmental charities.
Our mission
The WNNMP’s mission is to protect, restore and enhance nature; mitigate and build resilience to key pressures; and realise lasting, integrated benefits for people and place, through collaborative and innovative approaches.
